The next time you need a fun baby quilt, give this Crazy Nine Patch quilt pattern a try! This quilting pattern uses nine crazy nine patch blocks, all of which are put together at the same time, plus a border. This is one of my favorite go-to quilt patterns for a quick baby quilt. It works really well to show off a main ‘focus’ print contrasting with a variety of prints in scrappy four-patch blocks. The quilt shown here finishes at 40″ x 56″. Easily change the look of the quilt by coordinating the colors of the patches or by changing the triangles along the border.
Software amplifier for pc. The “Diamond Patch” pattern includes three quilt sizes:
- Crib size: 39″ X 45″
- Twin size: 60″ X 90″
- Queen size: 102″ X 128″
The crib size could easily be a wall hanging! It would also drape nicely over a table (omit a row or two to make it square, if you want).
This pattern is also a great go-to gift for new moms who would appreciate a handmade crib quilt.

The “Diamond Patch” quilt is easy to make and will go together quickly. Simply sew squares together. The only triangles are along the outside edge. That makes this pattern ideal for beginning quilters, but experienced quilters will also enjoy this quick project.
There is no separate border on this quilt. The border is created while you’re piecing the center. So, when you’re done piecing, you’re done with the top. Nice!
